I am Sarah Green of Calumet Township.
I am here to again express alarm at the ongoing federal chaos and draw your attention to local impacts. I have three short points today: Tariffs, Head Start, Meals on Wheels Statements shared from the Houghton Bergman(less) Town Hall on March 18th. Send me yours if you'd like to share (anonymously, if you prefer.)
The United States of America is the richest country in the history of the world.
Our wealth was produced through the hard work and ingenuity of millions of Americans: natives, immigrants, and those, like me, whose ancestors immigrated to this land of liberty Baraga County
Sarah Green, Calumet Township Resident 2025-03-10 Thank you for your attention and for your efforts to improve lives of Upper Peninsula residents. In such a big region with low population we all benefit from the success of neighboring communities. I love exploring Point Abbay and local forests, as well as your beautiful lakeshore. I’m here today to address a threat to our democratic institutions. As Americans, whatever our political leanings, we have an intense loathing of tyranny. Although we may have honest disagreements, I am certain that nobody here voted for Elon Musk. Calumet Township
Sarah Green, Calumet Township Resident 2025-02-28 Thank you for your attention and for your efforts to improve lives of Calumet residents. I have even seen Tim putting boots on the ground to cut trees blocking trails at Waterworks Park. Calumet Township is a great place to live. February 28, 2025
Hello, my name is Carol Pfefferkorn, and I live in Calumet Township. In the 15 years that I have lived here, I have witnessed the transformation of a Township and Village in decline become a lovely tourist area - summer, fall and winter. You know better than I regarding which of our Township projects require federal dollars. |
