CRAG short Action note Hello CRAG Team,
Just a short note today. (Sorry for yesterday’s extra long missive, partially copied below. For previous emails see the archive) Welcome more new people! My list is now >120. I need help. Here are some quick things you can do to support this local effort: 1. Commit to show up at a local city/township/village/etc meeting. Bodies are important, even if you don’t speak. (These rooms are warmer than the bridge!)
2. Identify local impacts of the coup, these are essential draw the links between federal actions and local citizens.
3. Rally Monday at noon at the bridge. Details below on these and other actions from yesterday’s note. People have been sending links to other national actions. I’m trying to focus on the local, but will share a list of those broader efforts in a later note. Stay well Sarah --------------------------------------- From yesterday’s note: Actions 1. Upcoming actions: Rally on the bridge "President 'Not King Day’": Monday, February 17, at noon at Bridgeview Park (multiple groups organizing, in concert with national action)
2. Congressional Recess is next week: tell Bergman his constituents want to see him. Congresspeople are supposed to be working in their districts next week. Call Bergman to ask when and where he will be meeting consituents. Jack Bergman:(202) 225-4735 We know he never has public meetings, but he does have secret ones with supporters; if you hear about one of these let me know! 3. Next Public Meetings where I plan to speak Hancock City Council: 6:00 Wed. Feb 19th City of Hancock Council Meets the third Wednesday of the month. All Council Meetings are held in the Hancock City Hall Council Chambers. Meeting begins at 6:00 p.m. Calumet Township 1:00 Fri. Feb 28th The Charter Township of Calumet board meetings are held on the last Friday of each month starting at 1:00pm. Please find the time/place of your local township. We can send someone to speak or support. 4. Please Share. Local friends, neighbors, and family are already being hit by the illegal actions of DOGE. Please send me anything you would like to share, identified as either:
